We can only find one other complaint online on a forum at pianostreet.com. A man was sharing a terrible experience he had with Modern Piano Moving but one of the company members responded and cleared up the issue quite nicely.

I was extremely pleased with the service to move my father's piano from Northern NY state to my home in the Boston area. The team in the office quickly provided a quote and were very responsive as we worked on the details of the move. The movers on both ends were friendly and efficient and took good care of the piano. The process takes a long time and requires some flexibility (pickup to delivery was just over a month) but the company was very good about providing updates to the pickup and delivery windows. We had such a great experience with modern piano. They moved my Yamaha U3 from El Paso to Dallas, and although the shipping time was about 30 days, they were very clear about how long it would take, and I felt confident they were taking care of my piano. The piano was in mint condition leaving my mom’s house, and was in mint condition arriving to my house. They were quick and professional and I couldn’t be more satisfied. These guys were great! Pick up in Chicago to drop-off in Portland, OR, they did exactly as they said they would. Everyone we dealt with was professional and helpful.
